Biopuncture ~ Injection Therapy at Agape Healing Arts

Updated: Aug 17

Did you know that pain is one of the top 3 reasons for a patient to visit their doctor?

The lack of effectiveness, as well as numerous, often serious, side effects of conventional treatments for chronic pain (medications, cortisone shots or surgery) are primary reasons that 40 million Americans look for a Holistic Physician to help them find relief from pain.

Biopuncture is an ideal therapy to relieve chronic pain and for shifting disease states towards healthier patterns that support healing.

What is Biopuncture?

Biopuncture is a type of Injection therapy that has been around for decades. In Florida, Doctors of Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture Physicians with extra training and certification can offer this incredible medicine to their patients. BioPuncture uses Homeopath remedies and natural substances into certain strategic places in the body.  These substances can be targeted near an injury site or can be used in the already potent acupuncture points .They can also be used to help heal old scars by unblocking stagnant energy and cosmetically to reduce stubborn creases and wrinkles! The best results occur when the patient can combine Biopuncture with good nutrition and integrative therapy.

What conditions are typically treated with Biopuncture?

The common factor is pain and inflammation, be that in a soft tissue or joint or in the lining of the respiratory or gastrointestinal tract.  Each of these tissues has nerves that become chronically inflamed and cells that secrete chemicals that initiate and maintain pain and inflammation.

Here is a brief list of issues that can be treated with Biopuncture Injection Therapy:

Pain (acute and chronic)

Trauma/PTSD

Swelling

Inflammation (any diagnosis that ends with “itis” like arthritis, colitis, sinusitis, etc.)

Depression

Immune system deficiency

Toxic load

Viral Infections

Respiratory infections (acute or chronic)

Low energy/chronic fatigue

Scarring

Allergies

Addiction recovery

Lymphedema

Recurring Strep Infections

And others!

What are the most common injectable formulas used?

Homeopathic formulas, B12 vitamin, saline, glucose, and analgesics. These treatments are cutting edge for the healing of old patterns and injuries and restoring energy and vibrancy! The most common products used in sports medicine and pain practices are Traumeel®, Lymphomyosot®, Spascupreel® and Zeel®.

Traumeel is used to reduce pain and swelling. Traumeel has arnica montana to reduce swelling, comfrey to decrease joint pain, chamomile and St. John’s Wort to reduce pain, and calendula (marigold) and echinacea to stimulate the immune system. The product which is best researched and most widely used in oral, topical and injectable forms is Traumeel.

Lymphomyosot is used for lymphatic drainage and detoxification. It supports the liver in moving toxins out of the body. It strengthens sensitive constitutions, reduces allergies, helps heal and re-energize after chronic illness, and especially for people in recovery from addiction. Sinusitis, tonsilitis, lymphedema, as well as inflammatory or infectious conditions of the upper respiratory tract have also been shown to be greatly impacted by this formula.

Zeel is used for arthritis.

Spascupreel is used for muscle spasm.

Engystol is an immunomodulator that can be used like a flu vaccine and to help prevent and treat viral infections. It has been scientifically proven to significantly reduce the duration and severity of symptoms during an acute viral infection and help protect from subsequent infections.

B12 vitamin (methylcobalamin) is crucial for our brain, nerves, and blood cells to function properly! Mood, memory, allergies, insomnia, you name it – so many components of our being can be enhanced by B12.

Homeopathic collagen is most often the substance chosen to help with the cosmetic side of injection therapy. It can also help reduce scarring and tissue damage after trauma, surgery, etc.

Saline injection near an inflamed or chronic injury site can help to bring hydration into the tissues, calm inflammation, and help with circulation, range of motion and quicker healing response.
